The reason that had kept me from updating earlier was tagging.
WP 2.3+ offers the possibility to import the tags from previously used plug-ins (UTW for me) and Christine of UTW fame has been developing new Things that add on to the built in tagging functions of WP. I’m using both the Tag Managing Thing and the Inline Tag Thing.
Most of the other plug-ins I had been using are still working, the only thing that’s broken is the Technorati script that I had in a widget displayed on the sidebar, but I think I can live without it.
I’m not a fan off all these online quizzes and tests, but this one is kind of funny. Especially since I have never been to the ‘Inland North’ nor to any other part of the US for that matter….

I wrote today my Geology 1003 midterm, it felt fairly good. I’m hoping for a B.
The Math 1550 midterm is scheduled for Friday, but my Geology 1003 final hasn’t yet arrived! I’ll have to see with LSU if the 30 days limit to take the exams count from the end of course or the day the proctor receives the exams.
I sent the final lessons for Geology 1003 and now I’m waiting for my exams to arrive.
At the same time my second year at BBK has started. This years subjects: Igneous and Metamorphic Petrology, Geophysics, Planetary Volcanism, Structural Geology, and -maybe- Advanced Topics in Planetary Sciences.
It appears that another great piece of software has gone the way so many sharewares take: it’s dead! TagBot - Spotlight File Tagging For Mac OS X Tiger
I had big hopes that this little piece of software would help me implement tagging in the finder as it allows drag-and-drop tagging of files. But when I tried to buy a license I found out that this is CC only, so I wrote to the developer to see if they’d accept PayPal and got after some while a rely that it would be implemented shortly (like the week after the mail I received). Since then I haven’t heard from them again. Another e-mail I sent was left unanswered.
