TagBot - R.I.P.?

It appears that another great piece of software has gone the way so many sharewares take: it’s dead!TagBot - Spotlight File Tagging For Mac OS X TigerI had big hopes that this little piece of software would help me implement tagging in the finder as it allows drag-and-drop tagging of files. But when I tried to buy a license I found out that this is CC only, so I wrote to the developer to see if they’d accept PayPal and got after some while a rely that it would be implemented shortly (like the week after the mail I received).

Some OmniFocus Impressions

I’ve got some 10 days of OF under my belt and I can say that I do like it so far.The alpha test is a great thing and the Omni guys and gals are very responsive, both by mail and on the forum.

Not-so-kinkless GTD

Since I now have this plan of (re)organizing myself and my workflow during this summer I thought, since OF is anyways based on kGTD, I’ll use it as an interim solution.kGTD brought the need of, again, installing QuickSilver. I had installed QS once or twice before, mainly to see what all the hype was but it went the way of many good, but poorly documented applications: into the Trash.

Getting Things Done

I’m about to embark on some new territory in personal organization: GTD.Not being really great in reading -and following- self-help and self-improvement books, this promises to be an interesting experiment.I had previously looked into it, but never very deep, mostly because I didn’t like any of the apps available to support this effort. Now Omni is developing a new app, called OmniFocus which appears from some screenshots and screencasts to be rather intuitive and flexible while not necessarily forcing the user to strictly adhere to GTD.
